0003: Evidence Has Coordinates

Context

The studies found successful formatting without compiled tests, successful CI without local dependencies, a browser canvas without completed loading, and an editor runtime with warnings. A single passed label hides these boundaries.

Decision

An evidence claim records, when material:

• class: static, deterministic, composed runtime, observed runtime, visual, interactive, or experiential;
• provenance: local, CI, hosted, maintainer, or reviewer/player;
• scope: platform and surface such as editor, native, web, multiplayer, or middleware;
• outcome: passed, failed, inconclusive, unavailable, or not attempted;
• source revision and effective toolchain;
• limitations and the claim actually supported.

Operation definitions describe how to gather evidence. Evidence records state what was actually run. One does not imply the other.

Consequences

• Evidence can be combined without being conflated.
• Missing or inconclusive verification remains useful information.
• Release claims must stay within the collected coordinates.
